Keeping the tradition alive, my friends and I decided to order a cake for a friend’s birthday. One of my friends suggested us this home-based page called Puffed Up (@puffedup2020). I ordered a customized cake from Sugar coated (@_sugarcoated.co), a home-based page. It was my mother’s birthday and I wanted to do something out of the box for her. The flavour I chose was Vanilla Caramel because my mother is not a fan of chocolate cakes. They were able to perfectly capture the design I had in my mind; the presentation of the cake was extremely gorgeous. The cake was very soft and fluffy, and the macarons were fresh and made to perfection with the right amount of sweetness. Their customer service was top-notch, and the cake was made and delivered to the address on the time promised. They were extremely helpful and cooperative throughout the process. It was my best friend’s birthday and my first time ordering a customized cake. I was quite anxious because I didn’t want to screw things up. I went through this account on Instagram named Caketastrophie (@caketastrophie), read the reviews, and made up my mind to place an order. I went for their signature flavour which was Chocolate Fudge. I was blown away by the flavour and quality of the cake that was delivered. The cake was presented wonderfully, the layers were quite moist and baked to perfection. The frosting was creamy and flavourful, bringing together the entire cake. But unfortunately, their customer service was not up to the mark, the cake was not made on time which resulted in waiting for an hour. It costed me around Rs. 4,500 for 3 pounds.

On my cousin’s 2^nd birthday we decided to order a customized Chocolate Chip cake from Tehzeeb. I must mention it here that the cake was a perfect delight to my taste buds. As I took a bite, I was amazed by the moist and fluffy texture. The amalgamation of flavours and the perfect sweetness made it irresistible; and I ended up eating two pieces of it straight away. One of the things that really made it stand out was the efforts made to decorate the cake elegantly. It was impressive to see the final look of the cake totally resembled the reference picture.  Their staff was very kind to us, they did everything to accommodate us. From billing to providing the cake on time, it was a great experience. The cake was of 3 pounds, and we paid Rs. 4,000 for it.
