Loafology Breakfast - Review
Breakfasts have never been my cup of tea
probably because the idea of getting up early and going to eat is not something
I look forward to. But, the universe has weird ways of proving things wrong. It
was about a week ago that I was on my way to my university and suddenly I got
this notification that my class was cancelled. I was almost 5 minutes away from
my university, I did not know what to do and where to go as I had two hours to
kill. So, I decided to finally experience what it’s like to have a breakfast
outside somewhere. I called my friend to come with me and she instantly said
let's go to Loafology which is in Blue Area Islamabad. I had heard about this café,
but never went there, however, my friend mentioned it's the best in town. What
better way do we experience something then to go at the very best. So, we went there,
and I was pleasantly surprised by the turn out of people at just 9 in the
morning. The ambience was soothing. The fragrance of freshly brewed coffee was
all in the air and it instantly opened my appetite.
My friend suggested that we must order their waffles because they are truly heavenly. I'm not a big fan of eggs so I ordered their Toasted Stuffed Croissant with Cheddar Cheese and Roasted Chicken. It costed us almost 1,285 Pakistani Rupees and was totally worth every penny. The croissant itself was freshly baked and so flaky that it made every bite delicious. The roasted chicken was perfectly spiced, and the cheese brought the whole dish together. They served the croissant with crisps and salad. The crisps were just ordinary packed ones, but the salad was well seasoned and added freshness to the meal. My friend ordered Pulled Beef Benedict, which costed around 975 Pakistani Rupees. I had never eaten a poached egg before and after eating it, I wondered why I never did. A soft English muffin with a layer of pulled beef marinated in BBQ sauce on it was the poached egg and the creamy hollandaise sauce. It was also served with the salad, which again was beautifully seasoned along with a roasted tomato. It was the perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and savory textures.
I
was not sure how beef and egg would taste together, but it worked out in the
best way. Of course, the drinks had to be ordered as well. Both of us ordered Peach
Iced Tea. It was priced at Pakistani Rupees 155, each. Genuinely one of the
best tasting iced teas I have ever had. It was quite refreshing and
complimented the dishes.
Next, how can one just forget about the dessert! So, out of the various options available in their “Something Sweet” section we selected Waffles with Maple Syrup and dusting of sugar. They sell it for 425 Pakistani Rupees, and it was value for money one hundred percent! They were so soft and tasty; eating them with maple syrup levelled them up.
I would definitely recommend stepping into this place
for a wholesome experience with your friends and family.
