Donuts are little circles of happiness that brighten anyone's day. No matter the age, donuts are enjoyed by everyone at any time. Donuts are one of the most popular sweet treats around the world. Donuts for me are a joy, they can instantly make my day 10 times better. They're often served as something sweet to go with your tea, or coffee or eaten as a dessert but for someone like me, they can be eaten any day, anytime, be it breakfast, teatime, or as a dessert. There are various kinds of donuts, some fried, some baked, but all these kinds are equally as good. There are many different types of donuts namely the classic and my all-time favorite glazed, chocolate frosted, vanilla, Jelly, lemon, or Boston cream filled the list just goes on. There are sprinkles, chocolate pieces, chocolate chips, nuts, or anything your heart desires on top of a donut. You can find them at your local convenience store, bakery, or cafe. But amongst all these donuts which ones are worth trying? Today, I will tell you about five of my all-time favorite donuts and the ones that are surely worth it.
Crusteez
These are new in the market but serve the best-glazed doughnuts. They focus on the happiness element that donut brings. The pop-up store in the blue area provides such a nice interactive experience where you order your donut, and it comes to you packed like a packet coming from a vending machine. They have a fairly large range of donuts with their classic donuts and deluxe delight flavors which include filled donuts. The donuts are airy and light, and you don't feel heavy after eating them. This is the perfect sweetness you need with your tea. To give a rather complete vibe they even have coffee on their menu.
Yum Doughs
I was recently introduced to these heavenly donuts by my friend. These are premium doughnuts and have an online delivery service only. They probably have the most variety among all the donuts and each flavor is unique and delightful. Most definitely the prettiest-looking doughnuts in town, and for this reason, you will probably not want to eat them. My favorite is the Kit Kat treasure because Kit Kat is my favorite chocolate and donut is my favorite dessert, it's a combination of both, like a dream for me. Because of how appealing these donuts look, they can act as a perfect gift to cheer up someone's day.
Loafology
They don't just provide donuts; they provide an experience. These donuts are not only aesthetically pleasing but also a treat in your mouth. Their Boston vanilla doughnut is by far my favorite. I've never had a doughnut that is so sweet yet doesn't make you want to not eat it. The donuts are baked to perfection and topped with the most delicious toppings. The donuts have a very gourmet look to them and the taste justifies it. They provide a range of donuts like Nutella, salted caramel, Boston cream, vanilla donuts, and many more. Whenever you want to enjoy a good donut with a good view you need to go to Loafology.
Dough with the flow
I initially thought that these are one of the fancy new donuts that only looked good and tasted like a hard bun, but I was pleasantly surprised. These are probably one of the most famous donuts in Islamabad and honestly, they taste amazing. They have such unique flavors with cookie crunch, marshmallow, Lemony Snicket, and many more. Recently, they introduced croissants which were equally as good as their donuts. The best part about these doughnuts is that they're available everywhere, in fact, even my university has a stall of them. My favorite donut is the cookie crunch because it adds a very crumbly texture on top of the soft donut base. The drizzle of caramel on top of them just brings it all together and makes it one of the best donuts they sell.
Bread and butter
These are the old-school doughnuts that we all have been eating since our childhood. I believe these are one of the most underrated donuts in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. These donuts bring back nostalgic memories of my childhood. Every weekend my father would bring a box of six donuts and in a matter of one day, I would finish them all. Their quality, however, has improved since then. Their donuts are baked and are available in a few flavors. My favorite flavor is lemon filled. The filling inside is so decadent and rich, it just instantly makes you happy. The best part about these donuts is that they are freshly available in the bakery and once you bite into them, they just melt in your mouth. Price wise these donuts are very economical, and their quality is also exceptional. These are surely one of the best donuts but unfortunately, they don't receive the recognition they are worthy of.
