Islamabad's new hangout place - Local Islamabad

It was the first day of the new year, my friend and I decided to start the year with hanging out and hanging out meant going somewhere to eat. We searched a few restaurants and after about 30 minutes we decided to go to a newly opened restaurant in Islamabad called Local. Its a 100% authentic Pakistani restaurant that uses ingredients produced locally hence the name local. 

We had to wait 15 minutes because it was fully packed which was a sign that the place was good. It is an open air restaurant and honestly the cutest little place to have a great time. They have a proper coffee station with state of the art coffee. Then they have their dessert corner. As we walked into the restaurant there was an exquisite entrance which was decorated with winter ornaments. The vibe of the place was very cosy. We went at a relatively late time, almost around 4:30 -5, and I was so impressed by the fact that they provided each chair with a soft blanket to keep you warm in the chilly Islamabadi winters. This added a really personalised touch. 

After being seated we decided our orders and within a few minutes time our order was served to the table. In the beginning we got complimentary bread, and garlic butter which is always an appetite opener. The bun was really soft and the butter creamy. The first thing we ordered was a pepperoni pizza. It was just the most fluffiest and flavourful pizza I’ve ever had. The dough was milky soft and was layered with a light pizza sauce, with a generous amount of pepperoni. It was topped off with a heap of cheese and rocket leaves as a garnish. The pizza was baked to perfection in their open stove. The cheese pulls of the pizza were innumerable. You could tell by eating that the quality of ingredients was top notch. The pizza costed us Rs. 1350 which might be expensive for some but the flavour, service and ambiance made it all worth every penny. Another thing we ordered was Moroccan chicken. The chicken was so tender and juicy. It was cooked to perfection, you could tell that as soon as you cut it. The sauce was full of exotic flavours. If you’re a spicy food lover like me, this sauce will instantly make you fall in love. A generous amount of the the sauce was layered on top of 2 succulent chicken fillets. It was paired with creamy mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. The whole meal was a delight. This was for Rs. 1370, which considering the portion size and the delectable flavour was a great deal. In the end, we ordered hot chocolate which was extremely rich and thick. It was not very sweet. The chocolatey flavour of the hot chocolate was just divine. It was covered with whipped cream and topped off with marshmallows. It was just the perfect thing to end the chilly day. 

Overall, my experience was beyond my expectations. I was really impressed with everything the restaurant had to offer. It is exactly what was needed in Islamabad to hang out with friends or have a cute day out with family.
